WELCOME TO YOUR GUESTHOUSE
Remembrance of things past
Remembrance of things past
Remembrance of Things Past (a wink to Marcel Proust) – this is how we could describe the atmosphere of this house! Through its decoration – furniture, antiques, and tapestries – Pierre and Marika transport you back to the time of the Impressionists.
This charming and cozy little paradise for romance lovers is set in the countryside, in the heart of the Charentonne Valley, in the village of Montreuil-l’Argillé.
Le Clos du Guiel consists in three buildings with very distinct origins: The mansion welcomes you for your breakfast (with a view of the garden); the Orangery with its bedroom with terrace and its spacious suite on the first floor, and finally the authentic washhouse with is bordered by a river where a few ducks glide silently.
Let yourself be tempted by the different accommodation options — self-catering or bed and breakfast. Le Clos du Guiel has something to suit every type of stay: a one-night stopover, a weekend getaway, or a longer holiday.
Accommodation includes:
• A ground-floor room for two in the Orangery, with a private terrace;
• A first-floor suite for two or three guests in the Orangery, with a small balcony;
• A riverside suite for two in the washhouse, with a covered terrace where birds parade by.
This little paradise is only two hours from Paris and just one hour from the Normandy coast.
